This Week's Topic - Fellowship

Spiritual Discipline:  A spiritual discipline is, when practiced faithfully and regularly, a habit or regular pattern in your life that repeatedly brings you back to God and opens you up to what God is saying to you.   (definition by Dallas Willard)

Each week we have taken different spiritual disciplines and discussed them.  The previous weeks have mostly been about spiritual disciplines that focus on the internal - bible study, prayer, fasting.  Last week and this week we are talking about outward disciplines - service & fellowship.

Fellowship is a spiritual discipline in that when practiced we become closer to God by building one another up.

Spiritual Disciplines - Wrap Up so Far

We have been talking about Spiritual Disciplines for the last few weeks. The disciplines that we have discussed so far are:
Prayer
Bible Study
Fasting
Service

Sunday's topic (9/28) - The problem of evil

One of the most common hurdles for coming to Christ is the problem of evil.  People want to know why a good God would let bad things happen.  And why do bad things happen to good people?

Check out these Ravi Zacharias videos, one of the most renowned Christian philosphers:

Sunday's Class - Moral Relativism

This week we are going to tackle moral relativism.  How can we answer people when they say, "what works for you doesn't work for me" or "that is your truth but not mine"?

It is a tough subject to tackle, so bring your thoughts and ideas to class on how to address this dilemma.  If you have any resources that you would like to share with everyone, please post them!!

Sunday's Topic - Is the Bible Reliable/True?

One of the foundations of our faith is believing that the Bible is true and the Word of God.   How do we know that it is reliable/true?   We will be discussing this during class this week.  Below are a few articles to check out before Sunday.  Come ready to discuss your ideas/questions/thoughts!

Some of these articles are pretty in-depth, so take in what you can (or have time for) and keep them as a resource for the future!
